Could someone explain how does the GBA decide on the appropriate comparator?
The appropriate comparator must be authorised for the therapeutic indication (off-label-use is not allowed). Should be a standard of care which has proven itself in practical use. Ideally, a product whose patient-relevant benefit has already been determined by G-BA.
